LOT 101
Son of City Light sells for €80,000

John Hammond wen to €80,000 for a son of City Light from Haras d’Haspel. The colt, from the family of Sapphire Stakes (Gr.2) winner LADIES CHURCH will join Joël Boisnard’s stable, who also trains his half-brother FAIS NOUS PLAISIR who won first time out at Deauville this summer.

LOT 82
€85.000 for a son of Inns Of Court

Offered from Haras de Grandcamp, a son of Inns Of Court was knocked down for €85,000 in favour of Johnny Hassett (The Bloodstock Connection). The colt is out of a half-sister to Grand Prix de Compiègne (L.) winner PINK GIN. He commented,

He’s a gorgeous individual, he had a very good scope and he’s from a very good vendor. I am very happy about him. We’ll possibly bring him back in Deauville for the Breeze Up in May, but nothing sure fo now

LOT 47
Daughter of Ten Sovereigns sells for €77,000

A few lots later, the hammer fell at €77,000 for the daughter of Coolmore young sire Ten Sovereigns, offered from Haras de la Haie Neuve. It was John Hammond that signed the docket for the filly from the close family of Groupe 1 winners SEQUOYAH, HENRYTHENAVIGATOR and LISTEN.

She’s a lovely filly, she’s very much like her father. I really liked her, she shows a lot of strength. We haven’t decided on her future yet.

LOT 34
€120,000 for a son of Toronado

A new event in the yearling sales calendar, the first September Yearling sale started at 2pm. Offered with an additional update after the catalogue was published following his half-brother’s victory in the Prix Prix des Jouvenceaux et des Jouvencelles – Bernard Ferrand (L.), the son of Toronado was knocked down for €120,000. Bidding on behalf of Pauline Chehboub (Yellow Agency), Mathieu Alex had the final say for the colt from the family of Groupe 1 winner AQUA D’AMORE, offered from Fairway Consignment.
